They will meet to rehearse for two days before giving a concert in Brno on Tuesday 16 February, then immediately fly to London to give this, the first of two concerts. Each item includes students from both institutions. The programme consists of works by Czech composers plus a new piece for wind quintet by a Trinity student composer.

Trinity explores works for ensemble and the spoken word, with two of the best-known examples juxtaposed with student responses and the moving Bear Child by Canadian composer Allan Bell, which explores the life of frontiersman Jerry Potts. Pre-concert talk by Brian Black of the University of Lethbridge, Canada at 6.45pm and an exhibition of images conveying a sense of the landscape and culture of the Alberta prairies and hills.
