Hilary Oliver is Head of Performance & Reward for Retail Banking and Wealth Management,Commercial Banking and Global Functions at HSBC.
Before joining HSBC Hilary Oliver had held positions as Director of Group Reward and Employee Relations for Prudential plc and Group Reward Director at Aviva plc. Hilary spent the early part of her career with Ernst and Young where she was a Director, specialising in executive compensation and HR aspects of corporate activity. As the business unit Director, she was responsible for all aspects of the management of the Performance and Reward Team. During this time she was seconded for twelve months to Aviva Investors, the fund management arm of Aviva plc, to be HR Director during the merger between CGU and Norwich Union.
As a qualified company secretary, she spent 2 years in the company secretarial team and 3 years in the corporate tax function working on corporate transactions and corporate tax, and worked on share schemes and performance related pay prior to joining the performance and reward team at Ernst and Young.
Hilary gained a BA(hons) (Music) 2:1 from University of Sussex and an MA in music performance studies from City University. She has an LTCL in oboe performance.
