Liv Lorent MBE

Artistic Director, Choreographer

Dance

Studying at [Trinity] Laban allowed me to explore and discover the kind of dance-maker I wanted to be. There were many challenges, but ultimately they prepared and developed my practise for professional life. I worked with some brilliant fellow students who gave some fantastically committed performances in my early works. I didn’t spend 3 years being top of the class; but I was given the space and encouragement to discover what it was like to think differently and creatively. I feel that the freedom I was given at Laban was essential in allowing me to grow in my own way; it was definitely the right place for me to be at the time.
