Sir Matthew Bourne OBE

Choreographer, Director

Dance

My experience with Transitions led directly to me setting up my company New Adventures (formally Adventures In Motion Pictures), with a group of fellow [Trinity] Laban students and members of Transitions. It taught me how a touring company worked. My BA Course was instrumental in developing my passion for choreography and I owe a great debt to my 4 years at what was then called The Laban Centre for Movement and Dance! My company which started as a group of friends who wanted to perform and choreograph is now the UK’s most popular dance company and Britain's biggest dance export throughout the world…. but I’m happy to say, it still feels like a group of friends who want to please an audience.
