Biography

Tom Dale completed a BA Dance in 1998 and then joined Transitions Dance Company grdauating in 1999. While studying at Trinity Laban, he won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography. After graduating he set up his own company, Tom Dale Company, which brings together artists form the fields of dance, music, art and design and tours nationally and internationally. His own choreographic work includes I Infinite, an immersive dance/digital installation currently touring nationally and internationally, Eddystone Raver, created to unreleased music by Tom Jenkinson aka Squarepusher, which was broadcast on BBC2, and stage pieces including ROAM, RISE, Dual, and Spheres.

Tom is also regularly commissioned by other artists and organisations to create original dance and movement based pieces. He created I am a believer for the visual Artist Reza Aramesh, which was a site-specific piece in Trafalgar Square involving 35 men. In 2011, he created new works for 2Faced Dance, TPO Company in Italy, the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and the London School of Contemporary Dance. Tom is Principal of Stagecoach, West Bridgford.
