I was offered a range of exciting performance opportunities as well as a year away studying in the Netherlands.

Biography

Saxophonist, Selmer Performing Artist and founder of Apex Horns Yasmin Ogilvie graduated with a first class BMus (Hons) Performance (saxophone) in 2009 and since then has toured internationally performing pop, dance, avant-garde and classical music. She has played to audiences including Quincy Jones and Shania Twain as well as at private parties for Dolce and Gabbana, Warner, Microsoft and Jaguar. Some of her festival and venue highlights include the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight Festival and London’s 02 Arena. Yasmin’s career as a session musician has seen her work with names such as George Ezra, Hot8 Brass Band, Brian May and Ministry of Sound in sessions at well-known studios including Maida Vale, Abbey Road and Pinewood Studios. The unique sound borne out of her classical training and a career in contemporary music has also led to TV appearances, performing with Michael Bublé, Billy Ocean and Fleur East to name a few.
