Reviews and Feedback

July 2010: Blackheath Halls Community Opera - The Elixir of Love

Every year, Blackheath Halls puts on a Community Opera project which gives the local community an opportunity to take part and see inside a fully staged opera. Over 100 singers and instrumentalists from the local community perform alongside local primary school children, students from local special schools, students from Trinity Laban and a cast of professionals to create a production of great energy and originality as well as high artistic worth. The project is led by a fully professional creative team.

In 2010 we performed Donizetti's ingenious comedy, The Elixir of Love, with Harry Fehr as Director, Nicholas Jenkins as Musical Director, 5 amazing soloists, and a fantastic choir and orchestra made up of members of the local community and local primary schools. This has been a wonderful success and we have  had some very positive feedback. Please see the links for reviews on this project.
