Opera Gala Night Fundraiser 2011
On Sunday 20 March 2011, Blackheath Halls held an evening of
opera arias and songs from the shows in support of the
Community Opera 2011 project (this year Tchaikovsky's
Eugene Onegin). Led by internationally renowned British
bass, Matthew Rose, and a set of highly sought after opera singers,
including Sir Willard White, Marina Poplavskaya and Sonia Granée,
this was a thoroughly enjoyable and successful evening for all who
attended.
Blackheath Halls would like to thank everyone who
has supported this event in any way. We are extremely
grateful for all the generous donations and pledges which have been
made so far to this fantastic project and we hope to see many of
you taking part in or attending the Community Opera 2011 this
summer.
