Dance alumnus Joss Arnott has announced a new tour for Autumn 2012. Commissioned by South East Dance, The Dark Angel features pieces created and danced by Arnott, who is Artistic Director of the Joss Arnott Dance Company.
Arnott's choreography has been described as "…possibly the perfect tonic for British contemporary dance. A choreographer who clearly knows how to stage a dance, excite an audience and leave you hungry for more." londonist.
The triple bill is made up of the following pieces:
24 - Inspired by themes and concepts explored within the Alexander McQueen exhibition Savage Beauty relating to surreal aesthetics, the dancers explode onto stage with energetic and elegant choreography.
Origin - A new commission for 2012 sees Arnott take to the stage and dance a fluid yet intense solo that explores redesigning the body through an intricate choreographic language.
Threshold - A highly energetic piece that demonstrates the strength and power of an all-female cast as they contort themselves through aggressive, hyper mobile and vigorous choreography.
An alumnus of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Joss was a member of Transitions Dance Company. For tour dates and further information visit the Josh Arnott Dance website.
