Candoco takes over the Wellcome Collection

Friday Late Spectacular

Candoco Dance Company, artistically co-directed by Trinity Laban alumni Pedro Machado and Stine Nilsen, takes over the Wellcome Collection on Friday 6 May 2016.

Choreographed by Trinity Laban alumnus Mirjam Gurtner, Friday Late Spectacular encourages audiences to question the acts of watching and being watched, as dancers use sound and movement to explore the building’s spaces. Performers become exhibits, exploring what it means to be on display in this fascinating space in Euston.

Candoco Dance Company was founded in 1991, and is now renowned as one of the country’s best-loved integrated dance companies. Its cast of both disabled and non-disabled dancers includes Trinity Laban alumni Megan Armishaw, Sophie Arstall and Adam Gain.
