Choreographer invites audience to be part of dance show

Israeli choreographer Hagit Yakira will be performing her intimate piece, …in the middle with you, at the Laban Theatre on 19 March, a piece where members of the public are encouraged to share their own stories of human experience.

...in the middle with you delves into the very nature of human experience. At times heart-warmingly light and playful, at times stark and deeply entrancing, the choreography is a moving piece that shares personal stories of love, friendship, loss and life, energy and physicality, as well as a more muted and abstract experience that becomes highly intimate.

Audience members are encouraged to heighten the personal aesthetic of the piece by offering their own stories, which includes sharing photos, songs and their thoughts on what being in the middle means to them. The stories shared will enable Yakira’s dance company to develop the piece and will be performed on their tour as a foyer installation.

Stories can be shared via their blog post, their Facebook page or via [email protected]. To book tickets for the show, visit the Trinity Laban what’s on page.
