Trinity Laban’s Contemporary Jazz Ensemble is ready to get people moving with a concert at the Southbank Centre for the EFG London Jazz Festival 2015.
On Saturday 21st at the Clore Ballroom, Southbank Centre, the Contemporary Jazz Ensemble will be exploring the music of some Britain’s finest contemporary jazz composers, with compositions by Django Bates, Eddie Parker, Mike Walker, Laura Jurd and Joshua Blackmore featuring. The band comprises some of London’s most inspiring young jazz talents, directed by award-winning British saxophonist and bandleader Mark Lockheart, who teaches at Trinity Laban.
Taking to the stage at 3.30pm, The Contemporary Jazz Ensemble is followed by the Royal Academy of Music Big Band and Fat-Suit, the Scottish jazz-fusion group.
