Researchers from the Dance Science Department
have compiled a comprehensive review of previous research
undertaken in the dance and health fields, relating to the impact
of various kinds of dance, on elderly populations. Commissioned by
the Thames Gateway Dance Partnerships, this study aimed to provide
a broad overview of the field, indicating where research has been
carried out already, and also highlighting areas for further
research.
This review proves a valuable tool in
surveying the body of existing research, and advocating for much
needed further research within the areas of dance and health for
older populations.
