Distinguished music professionals judge the Gold Medal Showcase

Cellist

Director of Music Dr. Claire Mera-Nelson is joined by two leading lights of the British music industry to judge Trinity Laban’s annual Gold Medal Showcase at King’s Place on Monday 11 January.

Lauded classical violinist Tasmin Little OBE and Gillian Moore MBE – Director of Music at the Southbank Centre – will listen to performances by six talented musicians, one from each department at Trinity Laban. The three judges will then confer and decide who should be awarded the Gold Medal, the Conservatoire’s most celebrated prize.

Trinity Laban’s Gold Medal Showcase is an eagerly anticipated fixture in the London music calendar, and provides an early chance to glimpse the musical stars of the future. This year’s competitors are mezzo-soprano Emma Lewis, pianist Naufal Mukumi, percussionist Becky Brass, guitarist Stefan Melovski, jazz saxophonist Ruben Fox and composer Harry Palmer.
