HRH The Duke of Kent - patron of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance - was the special guest at this year's Principal's Dinner to celebrate Trinity Laban's recent Honorary Felllows.

This year the dinner also signalled both the retirement of our Chairman Sir Robert (Bob) Scott, and the election of our new Chairman, Lord Lipsey.

As one of his first official duties for the evening, Lord Lipsey invited The Duke to present an Honorary Companionship to Sir Bob to mark his several years' service in the Chair and his distinguished contribution to the achievement of the merger of Trinity Laban. Honorary companionships are awarded occasionally to those who have given exceptional service to the Institution.

Trinity Laban MMus harpist Alicia Griffiths perfomed during the reception, which was held in the Admiral's House at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.
