Errollyn Wallen MBE releases new album

Trinity Laban’s esteemed professor of composition launches her new album entitled Photography on Friday 18 March.

The album is published by NMC Recordings, and comprises four pieces by Wallen, performed by Continuum Ensemble and Orchestra X, conducted by Nicholas Kok and Philip Headlam.

According to Wallen the album defies categorisation, incorporating elements from classical music, popular music and other genres. Wallen’s new cello concerto is also included, and features acclaimed cellist Matthew Sharp.

Errollyn Wallen is a celebrated British composer, originally hailing from Belize. Her works have been performed by renowned ensembles such as the BBC Concert Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and the Tallis Scholars. She is a professor of composition at Trinity Laban.
