Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is inviting local musical education and training providers to participate in a survey which will help determine local workforce development provision.
In reaction to the Government's National Plan for Music, our newly created Music Hubs must now begin to address the workforce development needs of their areas, a vital component in creating high quality music education.
As a result Trinity Laban, in partnership with Lewisham Music Hub, is piloting an initial survey designed to develop a deeper understanding of the current provision and workforce development needs in Lewisham.
We are asking anyone involved in music education in Lewisham to complete the survey. You may fall into one (or more) of the following categories:
- A provider of musical opportunities / or education (e.g. a school, Hub leader, arts/community music organisation)
- A specific music education training/Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider
- An individual music leader, school music teacher, music practitioner, tutor, community musician, individual training provider or arts manager or administrator.
Complete the survey here, which should take no longer than 10 minutes.
The deadline is 11 January 2013. If you have any questions regarding this survey, please contact Annie Sheen.
The Faculty of Music is currently finalising details of a new programme of music Professional Development days. This new training, launched later in 2013, links to our Learning and Participation work, and is designed especially is for music leaders, community musicians and teachers who work in the fields of music education, youth or community music.
