Jenna Sung wins Jaques Samuel intercollegiate piano competition

Trinity Laban student Jenna Sung has won the annual Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate piano competition. Jenna competed against students from the four main music colleges in London to win the opportunity to perform at renowned concert venues in London.

The Postgraduate Artist in Diploma student progressed onto the final of the competition at Wigmore Hall following a series of preliminary rounds.

The overall prize includes the opportunity to perform at Fazioli concert hall in Italy on 30 May, Wigmore Hall on 16 November and St James's Piccadilly. The Wigmore Hall recital will be recorded and 500 professional CDs will be produced.

Jenna said: "I was very happy to be chosen as the winner amongst fellow pianists in London, who are definitely amongst the best worldwide. I am proud to be representing Trinity Laban, which has given me much support.

"It goes without saying that I am thrilled to have the opportunity to perform a solo recital at Wigmore Hall and Fazioli Concert Hall."
