Korean music students produce new work for CoLab

Trinity Laban students worked in collaboration with students from Ewha Womans University (South Korea) to produce a remarkable new work recently (Friday 13 February 2015), to celebrate the creative partnership of the two organisations.

Led by Ewha composition teacher Professor Eunha Kim, the 10 music students were visiting London for the first time to take part in CoLab, Trinity Laban’s unique two week student-led festival of creativity. They joined 13 Trinity Laban students to create a brand new work, mentored by Trinity Laban composition teacher, Gwyn Pritchard. The work was performed at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, and the Korean students also performed an existing programme of international pieces.

This important cultural exchange follows the success of the recent visit by the Korea National University of Arts and the performance by their world famous K-Arts Dance Company in January.
