Laban Building welcomes back Dance Science networking and careers day
The Dance Science Department will host its the third annual Networking and Careers Day, an opportunity for dance science students to think about life after study, on Friday 12 June.
Aimed towards MSc Dance Science students, as well as graduates and undergraduates who may be interested in further study or career pathways in Dance Science, the day gives participants the opportunity to network with other likeminded individuals from other higher education institutions. Students Attendees will hear from also be able to learn the different career paths from other dance science graduates, as well as professionals within the sector, such as Helen Laws, of Dance UK and the National Institute of Dance Medicine and Science (NIDMS) and Sonia Rafferty of Safe in Dance International (SiDI). The day will also include presentations from past MSc students about life after study, current MSc Dance Science students perusing pursuing further doctorate study and research, and round table discussions at the end of the day. on topics such as publishing your work, the next questions to research in dance science and applying dance science to training.
Trinity Laban is an international leader in Dance Science research and, in 2001, was the first institution in the world to offer a MSc in Dance Science. Since then, Trinity Laban has made significant contributions to the growing field and knowledge of Dance Science.
