Two outstanding Trinity Laban alumni will perform together for the prestigious Park Lane Group (PLG) Young Artists Spring Series at St John’s Smith Square on Thursday 21 April.
Established in 1981, the PLG Young Artists Series comprises a schedule of performances by some of the brightest young talents in classical music today, featuring eminent contemporary composers at each event. Accordingly the PLG’s first key objective is to ‘provide a prominent platform for outstanding young musicians’.
Rising star soprano Nardus Williams will be accompanied by pianist Peter Foggitt at an evening of music and conversation focusing on the work of British composer Robin Holloway. The duo will also explore a selection of 20th century and contemporary repertoire, including pieces by Othmar Schoek, Morgan Hayes and Lord Berners.
In 2015 Nardus Williams won Trinity Laban’s most distinguished prize, the Gold Medal, and since then has enjoyed further success as a Samling Artist.
Peter Foggitt undertook a Postgraduate Artist Diploma at Trinity Laban and graduated in 2009. He is renowned as a pianist, organist, conductor and composer and has won numerous awards as a performer in a variety of settings.
