Trinity Laban is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Anthony Devine as Head of Guitar Studies. Graham has been a professor of guitar at Trinity since September 2005.  He will take on his new role within the Strings Department in April.

Graham studied at Chethams School of Music in Manchester before moving to Brazil at the age of 19 where he became a respected performer and tutor. Winner of a host of international competitions, he tours all over the world and has released eight albums including six for recording giant NAXOS which were all met with great critical acclaim.

Following his 2006 Wigmore Hall recital, Classical Guitar Magazine wrote "Graham Anthony Devine and players like him inhabit a new and a higher plane of music. Fluency, beautiful tone, power, clarity, timing, phrasing, technical brilliance, a keen musical intelligence - none of these is a stranger to the guitar recital hall, but this young player confounds criticism by possessing them all, and in spades."

Director of Music Dr Claire Mera-Nelson says, "We are very pleased to announce Graham's new appointment. He holds an international reputation as a performer and teacher and is well known to many of us at Trinity Laban, having already made a significant contribution here as a member of the String Department."
