Trinity Laban has launched a new Facebook environment for students and graduates of UK-based Dance Science programmes to share information, pose questions and suggest ideas for discussion.
Dance Science Study UK will host posts from members on news and events, jobs, internships, programmes of study, and UK-based continuing professional development activities.
The Dance Science Study UK forum was born out of a gathering of over 40 UK delegates at the second Annual Dance Science Student and Graduate Networking and Careers Day held at the Laban Building in June. Run in conjunction with Trinity Laban and the Universities of Bedfordshire, Wolverhampton and Edinburgh, the Careers Day gave current, past and future Dance Science students to hear expert presentations on career journeys and destinations from national speakers from Dance UK, London Contemporary Dance School, Safe in Dance International and University of Bedfordshire amongst others.
Students from Trinity Laban and University of Bedfordshire also presented their work and opportunity was provided for roundtable discussions on publishing and disseminating work, further study at PhD level, the future of dance medicine and science and the role of dance science in education.
