Last minute places are still available on Trinity Laban's Summer Mix Music Project, an intensive new music project happening this month for 16-25 year old musicians and dancers based in London.
Participants can be at any musical or dance level, and all musical styles and instruments are welcome. Musicians, rappers, poets, producers, vocalists, DJs, street dancers and music technologists - all are invited to come and work with skilled leaders in creating brand new music, finishing with a performance on Friday 26 July.
The sessions will offer five workshops, such asHip Hopera(a series of hip hop songs in the form of an opera);Summer Bash(featuring choreographed percussion mostly made from everyday objects);Rock Opera;Hotwired Live(where anything goes in this mixture of live and computerized instruments collaborating to make something definitely 21st century); andUrban Beats and Moves(all beat boxers, music producers and street dancers in this high energy workshop).
The Summer Mix Music Project runs from 15-26 July, and will take place at Trinity Laban's Faculty of Music in Greenwich.
