Enter the hypnotic world of MK ULTRA as Rosie Kay Dance Company comes to the Laban theatre on Thursday 20 April.
Rosie Kay’s new work, titled MK ULTRA, is a high energy, supercharged mash-up of thrilling dance, music and imagery, inspired by the bizarre realm of pop culture mind control conspiracies. If you didn’t know about the Illuminati, you soon will and if you did, expect MK ULTRA to shatter the Illuminati’s illusory control.
“I am delighted that the company is returning to Trinity Laban, and it totally makes sense. We last performed ‘There is Hope’ at the Laban Theatre, an exploration of spirituality, heaven and hell, truth and religion. MK ULTRA could not be more different. It’s about pop, it’s about conspiracy, it’s about sex, it’s about dance! I love the theatre and I love the young, intelligent, funky audience.”
Rosie Kay is one of the UK’s leading choreographers. She is renowned for her athletic movement, rigorous research and intelligent theatricality. Choreographer to the hit film Sunshine on Leith, Kay is best known for the five star award-winning 5 SOLDIERS. MK ULTRA promises to be a thrilling show.
