Student Ambassadors visit the House of Lords

Trinity Laban Chair, Lord Lipsey, welcomed the new Student Ambassadors for 2014-15 for a special tour of the House of Lords in December 2014.

They also met with Baroness Golding, watched a debate in the chamber and discussed some of the current issues affecting conservatoires with Trinity Laban colleagues.

Piano student Karl Westwood says: “As a Student Ambassador I am lucky enough to take full advantage of the links that Trinity Laban has with the House of Lords through Lord Lipsey. These connections are very exciting and give huge advantages to graduates of Trinity Laban.”

Established in 2012, the Student Ambassador scheme is designed to show off the extraordinary talent that exists within Trinity Laban to alumni, patrons, press and students. Student Ambassadors get involved in activities such as VIP functions and student recruitment fairs, and the experience provides them with valuable skills and networking opportunities necessary for a future career in the competitive arts world.

Trinity Laban appointed 14 Ambassadors in 2014-15.
