Booking is now open for Trinity Laban’s Musical Theatre Summer School from 3-7 August 2015, an intensive training course led by industry professionals.
Held over five days at the award winning Laban Building, this immersive course aims to give participants a taster into professional life in the musical theatre world. The school is open to anyone aged 16 and above, who is considering full time vocational training and conservatoire study within musical theatre.
The course will focus on stage craft and vocal technique, from audition technique masterclasses to script and stage workshops delivered by industry professionals, and even a visit to a West End show with course leaders. In this ever popular sector, participants can hone and develop skills, which are essential for anyone wishing to study musical theatre at a conservatoire.
Head of Musical Theatre at Trinity Laban and curator of the Summer School, Vicki Stretton, says: “Our summer school is a fantastic opportunity for those wanting to experience conservatoire-style training. The week enables participants to gain an indepth knowledge of the trade whilst being in an inclusive and friendly atmosphere. We’re excited about building on last year’s popularity, and it has been great to see previous participants successfully audition for full time training.”
