Summer term opens to the sound of more exciting masterclasses

Masterclasses Trinity Laban's summer term started with no fewer than four masterclasses by distinguished professional musicians.

Brass students benefitted from the expertise of Byron Fulcher, principal trombonist of the Philharmonia Orchestra, and Christian Jones, bass trombonist at Opera North and an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.

A third masterclass was given by Emily Beynon, principal flautist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. Alberto Bocini, principal double bass in the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, followed his masterclass with a recital featuring several of his own compositions.

Trinity Laban runs its masterclass series throughout the year to provide an opportunity for students to learn from and be inspired by world-class professionals. Members of the public are cordially invited to attend and be a part of this unique musical experience at no charge.

Tom Kerstens - guitar
