Three Trinity Laban staff and students performed as part of the Monteverdi Choir's 50th Anniversary concert in King's College Chapel, Cambridge this month.
Head of Vocal Studies at Trinity Laban and alumnus member of the Monteverdi Choir, Linda Hirst was accompanied by students Graham Neal and Gordon Waterson - also Student Union President - to perform the Monteverdi Vespers in the same venue of the choir's inaugural concert 50 years ago to the day.
Linda said: "To be in the room with John Eliot's musical imagination again was not just refreshing, but brought back vibrant memories of my early professional life with this wonderful choir, and the conductor who gave me my first important solo opportunities."
Gordon said: "The contribution made by Sir John Eliot Gardiner and his ensembles over the past 50 years is something I will never be able to fully comprehend, and there was a truly electric atmosphere in King's College Chapel.
"I was also very pleased to be singing alongside Trinity Laban alumni, many of whom came to sing with the choir through its apprenticeship scheme and have continued to be valued members of the choir since."
