Trinity Laban Chamber Choir celebrates Judith Weir appointment in Globe concert

On Monday 27 October at Shakespeare’s Globe, Trinity Laban Chamber Choir joins acclaimed violinist Tasmin Little OBE and other classical stars at a special concert celebrating the appointment of renowned composer Judith Weir as Master of The Queen’s Music.

Appointed in the summer of 2014, Judith Weir is the first woman to hold this acclaimed post and the appointment has been hailed as excellent and imaginative – “Simply a wonderful composer” (Daily Telegraph).

Presented by the Park Lane Group, the Globe is celebrating the Crown's first female Court Composer and her “addictive, scintillating music” (The Guardian) in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. The Trinity Laban Chamber Choir is conducted by its Director, Stephen Jackson. Stephen is also Director of the BBC Symphony Chorus and works regularly with the Netherlands Radio Choir and the Choir of Radio France.
