Trinity Laban heads east for first ever Music Summer Academy in India

Renowned pianist and Trinity Laban music professor Karl Lutchmayer is travelling to India in May to hold Trinity Laban's first ever Music Summer Academy specifically for music teachers.

Karl and other specialist teachers will hold the summer school at the Mehli Metha Music Foundation in Mumbai from 15-22 May 2013. The summer school will help teachers prepare for the new Music Certificate in Pedagogy, and then potentially go on to study for a semester at Trinity Laban (formerly Trinity College of Music) in London.

Supported by Furtados School of Music and the Melhi Metha Music Foundation, the summer academy will examine the fundamentals of Pedagogy, psychology of teaching, creative and performing practice, music and movement (including Dalcroze Eurythmics) and critical thinking.

Applicants should have at least two years' music teaching experience. It costs INR 11,500 (accommodation not included) and the final date for applications is 19 April 2013.
