Professor Nirmala Rao OBE has joined Trinity Laban's Board of Governors.
Professor Rao is Pro-Director of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, with a distinguished background in learning and teaching and international development in Higher Education.
Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a company limited by guarantee and also a registered charity. The Board is made up of independent and staff and student governors, all of whom are Trustees of the Conservatoire.
The Chair is Lord David Lipsey, a Labour peer with a lifelong interest in music. Lord Lipsey is also chair of the All Party Parliamentary Classical Music Group, which arranges presentations to and discussions with parliamentarians on matters of concern to musicians and the music industry.
