Study Year Abroad

The Study Year Abroad (SYA) is a special programme for overseas students who would like to spend their Study Year Abroad at Trinity Laban. You can take the Study Year Abroad as either a Junior Year or Senior Year.

 

Programme Content

Your individual programme will be made up from the components offered on Trinity Laban's One Year Programmes. You have a free choice from the components offered, but you must ensure that your selection meets the subject and credit requirements of your home college or university.

Programme Length

Our academic year is organised in three terms: mid-September to mid-December, early January to end-March and mid-April to the beginning of July. The year is the equivalent of two semesters. It is possible to spend one term, two terms or the full year at Trinity Laban, however you need to start the programme in September. 

  • Entrance Requirements

    Applicants must be currently undertaking a programme at or equivalent to degree level in their own country and aiming to achieve credits from their studies at Trinity Laban. Entry to this programme is by application form. English language competency requirements also apply.

  • Assessment

    Trinity Laban will provide a transcript of results and a Trinity Laban Certificate. In order to achieve the Trinity Laban Certificate:

    • Students studying for one term must achieve a minimum 12 credits (and a maximum 16).
    • Students studying for two or three terms must achieve a minimum 24 credits (and a maximum 32).
