Another element contributing to the thriving research culture at Trinity Laban are performances and other events in which the research students are involved, both within Trinity Laban and outside. You can find information about some recent and forthcoming events below.

 

Concerts, Luke Styles

During May, Luke's music will be performed at various venues: on 9 + 10 May, 19.00  two different programmes will be performed as part of Soundings at the Austrian Cultural Forum; also on 10 May, 19.00 the virtuosic all female Consortium5 and Juice will perform "A Strategem for Light" during the York Spring Festival; 19 May, 19.30 will see Emulsion on stage at the Vortex London; and 27 May, 15.00 see the premiere of Luke's first work as composer in residency at Glyndebourne. Please use the highlighted links for more information and tickets.

 

Concerts and workshop, Simone Spagnolo

From 8 - 12 May 2012, Simone will be in the USA where his one-act chamber opera Pleiades will be performed at the Stanford University and US National Opera Association in Stanford, California.  To find out more visit Simone's website.

 

Practice, Nicola Conibere

Exhibition, Jaimie Henthorn

In April, Jaimie shows in the exhibition 'Inside Lafayette Park', an art and design exhibition about the planned community in Detroit by architect Mies van der Rohe.  This includes documentation of past projects at Mies architectural sites and plans for a performance at Lafayette Park in July. Premiere, Manuel Lopez Jorge

SCOW orchestra will be premiering the Overture of Manuel's Concertino for Orchestra on the 16 March 1012 in the Baptist Church in Greenwich. Please go to BCG for venue information

  

Research Project, Rachel Cherry

During February 2012, Rachel will be working in collaboration with dance and photography students from University Campus Suffolk to produce a photographic installation will will form part of the repertoire for Forefront Dance.  Visit The Beholder  for further information. 

 

CoLab, Duncan MacLeod

Wednesday 22 February 2012, at 8pm: Following their now legendary performance of Cage's 4.33 at to a packed audience at Duckie's (Vauxhall Tavern) Duncan MacLeod will lead his 2 CoLab projects in a site specific evening of contemporary music at the Old Police Station in Deptford SE9. ASSAULT, João Lima Duque

In November 2011, Joao Lima Duque shot another instalment of his filmed-performance project ASSAULT at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw ASSAULT NL will be presented to the public in 2012, joining award-winning ASSAULT PT (Gulbenkian Foundation Headquarters) and ASSAULT UK (Royal Albert Hall). PARALLAX 01

April 2011 saw the first in a new series of annual events showcasing the work of Research Degree Programme Creative Practice students:
