Youth Dance Company

Our Youth Dance Company is an auditioned company of enthusiastic and talented young dancers aged 14 to 18 years. The company collaborates throughout the year to devise, create and perform new pieces of work under the direction of their Artistic Director, Chloe Stone.

Each year, the company becomes involved in a variety of projects such as the Olympic Torch Ceremony at the Southbank and the Blackheath Halls Opera. We also work with professional choreographers and companies such as Company Wayne McGregor, MIKS Dance Theatre and Henri Oguike. The Youth Dance Company performs throughout the year in London and around the UK, and has the opportunity to collaborate with other youth dance companies from across the country.

Previous members have gone on to train at various universities, conservatoires and colleges such as London Contemporary Dance School, Bird College, Dartington Hall and Trinity Laban.

Auditions are for talented dancers aged 14 to 18, with an interest in Contemporary dance. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for dance. Prior dance experience is necessary; however, don’t be afraid to audition even with minimum or little experience, as we are looking for natural talent and creativity. TLYDC's weekly classes and rehearsals take place every Tuesday evening 18.00h to 20.00h during term time, with various high-profile performances throughout the year.

2016/17 Auditions: Thursday 15 or Friday 16 September 2016, 17.30h-20.00h

Applications for our 16/17 Youth Dance Company are now open - you can download an application form here.
