Summer Mix was a pilot Summer School project that offered 16-25 year olds living in London an opportunity to enrol on a free, intensive creative music summer programme.
Summer Mix ran for two weeks in July 2013 at Trinity Laban's Faculty of Music in The Old Royal Naval College.
25 musicians, rappers, poets, producers, vocalists, DJs, street dancers and music technologists came together to work with our experienced leaders in creating new music that took inspiration from Wagner's Tristan and Isolde. The young people created a new performance piece which they titled Tristan & Isolde Live in Theory. A final performance was held on Friday 26 July at the Faculty of Music.

Summer Mix was devised, resourced and funded through a three way partnership between Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Squeaky Gate and Lewisham Music Hub.
