Studying in the UK

Teaching and learning methods in the UK may be very different from those you are used to. We have a range of support services here at Trinity Laban and our faculty and staff can help you with any issues that may arise throughout your studies.

You will be expected to be familiar with appropriate technology, work independently from a range of sources and to be able to analyse and draw your own conclusions. As a basic guideline:

  • be prepared to participate actively in practical sessions and small group work
  • note taking is encouraged during classes and lectures
  • punctuality and attendance are particularly important and you will be penalised for absence without a valid reason
  • all forms of plagiarism are severely penalised and you should always be careful to reference anyone else's work. Your tutors can give you guidance if you are unsure about this.
