Trinity Laban houses two specialist libraries, one in each campus, each offering a wide range of music and dance materials and resources.
The Jerwood Library of the Performing Arts
The Jerwood Library of the Performing
Arts situated in King Charles Court, is home to
over 50,000 items of printed music, 9000 books, 90 journal
subscriptions, 7000 sound recordings, 400 videos/DVDs, plus a range
of online resources.
Special collections include the Sir Frederick Bridge Library,
Antonia de Almeida Collection and Music Preserved collection of
archival sound recordings.
The Laban Library and Archive
The Library and Archive
situated in the Laban building, boasts the UK's largest
open access specialist dance collection with over 17,000 books,
rare books, reports, conference proceedings, pamphlets, 358
journal titles, 3300 videos/DVDs, 700 higher degree
dance-related theses, over 750 CDs and over 800 newspaper
cutting folders.
The archive includes the Laban Collection of personal papers,
notated scores and books of Rudolf Laban and his associates in
Germany in the 1920s and '30s.
