Biography

Zoë has been teaching Pilates to students on the One Year Programme since 2012.  She is a member of the Pilates Foundation UK and a comprehensively qualified teacher (matwork and apparatus), with a special interest in dance, rehabilitation and injury prevention.  Zoë trained as a Pilates teacher at Trinity Laban and worked in the Pilates studio there on qualifying, teaching dancers and the general public.  She has a private practice in South London, in addition to her teaching work at Trinity Laban, and is a registered health practitioner with Dance UK, and with BAPAM.

Zoë trained at London Contemporary Dance School, and danced professionally for six years, performing with Matthew Hawkins and other independent choreographers.  She also taught contemporary dance and Pilates-based body conditioning.  A severe knee injury interrupted her dance career, and Zoë worked as a lawyer for a number of years before deciding to return to her original love of movement by training as a Pilates teacher.
