Ross has a wealth of lighting and design experience within both the dance theatre and the architectural worlds. He held the position of Technical Director at Laban for 1979-1994 and, during this period, developed undergraduate and postgraduate courses in lighting and design. He also developed an intern trainee programme for budding designers and technicians, many of whom are the principal technical personnel in the dance world.
Ross graduated from Exeter University with a BEd and holds a MSc in architectural lighting from University College, London.
