Trinity Laban's Dance Science department has been undertaking longitudinal research into the development of talent among young people on the Centres for Advanced Training (CATs) nationwide.
The project, funded by the Department for Education and the Leverhulme Trust, ran from 2008 to 2011. To read about the project and the symposium at which the full research findings were launched, and to download the research report, click here.
Trinity Laban's Education and Community Programme is also host to one of the CATs and has been running since January 2007. Each year it auditions and trains a group of exceptionally talented young people between the ages of 11 - 18 in dance, providing regular classes and activities in contemporary dance, choreography, dance fitness and health, and complementary studies.
