This professional development opportunity for primary and secondary school teachers is a practical introduction to cross-arts performance making with young people.

Delivered by professional artists from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, this session will explore creative methods of progressing young people towards a high-quality music and dance performance. Join us for a fun and practical evening, designed to inspire and energise you in your approach to collaborative working with young people.

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a world-renowned leader in the education of professional musicians and dancers. We support and develop talented and innovative teachers, performers and creators at various stages of their creative lives.

Content

This session will include fresh approaches to:

  • Ideas generation, improvisation and skills development  
  • Choreographing with young people 
  • Composing with young people 
  • Producing cross-arts collaborations with young people

Cost

£50 per person (full price)
£25 per person (Lewisham Live 2017 schools)

Please note that spaces are limited and priority will be given to schools participating in the Lewisham Live Festival in March 2017. To attend this session, you need to be teaching in a primary or secondary school. No previous experience of leading music and dance collaborations is necessary.
