Andrew Hammond Lighting Design, Production Manager
Trained at Central School of Speech and Drama, Andrew has worked extensively as a Lighting Designer for dance in the UK and throughout Europe. Recent work includes Production Management and Lighting Design for Reed Exhibitions and Post Works for the 100% Design Exhibition at Earls Court 2, Retina Dance Company’s Layers of Skin (Premiered at the CCBe, Antwerp) and the MAP/Onsite Site Specific Installation for OMA/Progress events at the Barbican. Andrew’s ten year experience in the entertainment industry also includes working on large scale productions across corporate events, exhibitions, architectural installations, theatre and dance throughout the world.
Since joining Transitions in 2009 he has toured internationally with the company.
Kieron Johnson Production Assistant
Kieron joined Trinity Laban as a graduate intern in 2015 after completing a technical internship at Malvern Theatres, Worcestershire. A graduate of the University of Hull, studying Drama and Theatre Practice, it was here in which he found a passion for technical theatre and lighting design. Winning the Anthony Minghella Prize for excellence in performance and design upon graduation, Kieron has worked for companies such as Opera North, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Hull Truck. Kieron is very excited to join the team at Trinity Laban and embark on his first professional tour.
Suzie Holmes Costume Design
Suzie is currently Head of Costume and Lecturer in Performance Design in the Faculty of Dance at Trinity Laban. She has designed for numerous choreographers and companies, including: Rosemary Butcher, Charles Linehan, Maresa von Stockert, Protein Dance, Candoco Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Theatre, StopGAP Dance Company, Darkin Ensemble, Ludus Dance and East Midlands Children’s Theatre Consortium. Her work has featured at the Victoria and Albert Museum in A Flash of Light: The Dance Photography of Chris Nash. Suzie holds an MA in Critical Studies: Visual Art and Theatre from Wimbledon College of Art.
Lizzie Barker Costume Design
Lizzie has designed and made costumes for numerous companies within the contemporary dance sphere, both in the UK and overseas. Costume design credits include In Your Rooms by Hofesh Shechter, Protein Dance’s Big Sale, and work with Rosemary Butcher, Ben Wright's BGroup, Hagit Yakira, Lizzi Kew Ross and Robert Clark. As a former member of Transitions Dance Company Lizzie has also enjoyed a successful performing career, and continues to create collaborative dance-theatre-design performance with her company Average Height Ladies.
Florence Meredith Costume Design
Florence studied Costume at the London College of Fashion, working in television and promenade theatre before starting her internship at Trinity Laban in 2014. During this time she costumed a commissioned work choreographed by Marie-Gabrielle Rotie, and five pieces for the Centre of Advanced Training summer show. Now returning to Trinity Laban after completing her internship, Florence will costume work by Lizzi Kew-Ross alongside her work for Transitions.
Fay Patterson Lighting Design
Fay trained in theatre design (BA Hons) at Bretton Hall in the late 90’s. Since graduating she has worked on a freelance basis as lighting designer, production manager, technician and tea maker and has been lucky enough to see the inside of hotel rooms and theatres all over Europe and other far flung places.
Since 2010 Fay has enjoyed collaborating with Lizzi Kew-Ross and Company on productions such as Without Warning and Reading with Bach.
In 2003 Fay took on the role of Senior Technician for Trinity Laban, Faculty of Dance, where she also contributes to teaching performance design. Fay enjoys cycling, gardening and is a keen ornithologist.
Ben Pearson Composer
Ben is a composer, producer and musician. He has composed music for the London-based collective ‘Trashousefilms’ and is currently scoring their new feature 'Dungeon'. He has scored a number of other short films, working with directors McHenry Bros, Sienna Lion Stone, Alice C Sidgwick and Zak Harney, as well as collaborating with designers from Central Saint Martins to create installations at The Hospital Club and writing music for student theatre productions at Stratford Circus. He also works as an assistant for film and TV composer Rob Lane. Ben studied at the Southwest Music School before studying composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. During his studies he has written for the Old Royal Naval College Chapel Choir, The Contemporary Music Group and the Trinity Laban String Ensemble.
Ellie James Company Manager
Having danced from a young age, Ellie graduated from Trinity Laban with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre in 2011. She went on to broaden her experience of the arts sector beyond dance and performance in the Development Department at the Roundhouse in Camden before returning to dance as part of the administrative team at DV8 Physical Theatre. Ellie joined Transitions in March 2014.
