Physiotherapy with Dermot

Dermot is an experienced physiotherapist specialising in the treatment and management of musculoskeletal complaints. Upon assessment he will clearly diagnose your problem and educate you of the underlying problem to assist you in understanding your condition. Using up to date research, treatments will include manual therapy to work on releasing any tension in the muscles and joints relevant to causing your problem and specific exercises to help you to return to normal activities and prevent future problems.

About Dermot Burke

MSc (Physiotherapy), Bsc (Neuroscience)

Dermot is a chartered physiotherapist (MCSP) and member of the health professional's council (HPC). Upon graduating, he began working in one of London's main teaching hospital gaining experience treating a wide range of patients with musculoskeletal, sports, orthopaedic and rheumatologic problems.

Dermot is a member of the British Association of Performance Arts Medicine (BAPAM) and regularly attends courses and training days to provide up to date treatment for his clients. Being a keen musician he has a unique insight into the stresses and strains of performance.

He has a special interest in the treatment of upper limb problems (fingers, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder) of musicians and in particular the management of focal dystonias.  He will enable you to return to normal activity with individually tailored treatments specific to your own needs and goals.

Clinic

Dermot practices at Laban Health on tuesdays from 14.00h-17.00h and Wednesdays from 18.30h-21.00h.

Prices

£45.00 for an initial appointment and £40.00 for follow-up appointments.
