About Hannah
Hannah became interested in the Feldenkrais Method while
training on the BA (Hons) Dance Theatre at Laban. Her interest in
Feldenkrais stems from her experience of 'Functional
Integration'(FI), which had an immediate impact on her alignment,
breathing and feeling at home in her body. This in turn made a big
difference to Hannah's dancing and her performance greatly
improved. Her balance was effortless and she felt more physically
intelligent - that every part of the body was working together in
each action, and without the tension usually experienced. Through
weekly Feldenkrais 'Awareness Through Movement' (ATM) classes,
Hannah discovered a fascinating world of movements that led to
similar changes. These sensations varied from feeling more grounded
and powerful or taller and softer and the changes took place
through working smarter rather than harder. Hannah knew instantly
after that first session that she wanted to train in the method but
spent another year and a half researching Feldenkrais through group
and individual classes and reading before committing to training as
a practitioner. Hannah trained on the Amsterdam International
Feldenkrais Teacher Training over 3.5 years and is a professional
member of the UK Feldenkrais Guild. She works with a wide range of
people from dancers and musicians to bankers and children.
