The Trinity Laban Health Clinic and its therapists specialise in the assessment and treatment of Performing Artists.

Not only do all of our therapists have a particular interest in performing artists’ injuries and injury prevention, but many have had first-hand experience of being a performing artist or have worked with performing artists for many years, gaining vast experience in the field.

Our range of therapies aim to support dancers, musicians, actors and musical theatre performers in training, and working professionals, using specialist knowledge of the specific demands placed upon the body, and appropriate techniques to prevent or aid in the rehabilitation from an injury.

Physiotherapy

Our Physiotherapists have a vast amount of experience working with performing artists, gathering knowledge on performing arts related disorders and many having studied for a masters in Dance Science. Outside of their physiotherapy practice they each pursue research in the field of performing arts medicine and science, striving to enhance their knowledge even further.

Sports Massage

The team of Sports Massage therapists working within the Trinity Laban Health Clinic have worked with a wealth of performing artists during their careers and have provided massage treatment for highly reputable performing artist companies and training environments. Their expertise and understanding of the musculoskeletal system allows them not only to aid in the recovery from injury, but also in the promotion of performing artists’ knowledge of injury prevention.

Acupuncture / Acupressure Massage

Our Acupuncture / Acupressure massage practitioner specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems, alongside the treatment of a wide range of conditions commonly seen among performing artists; such as stress and tension. With numerous years of experience working within the arts industry, our practitioner is able to work with you to help you gain the most out of your treatment and aid recovery in line with your practice.

Craniosacral

Alongside her Clinic hours our craniosacral therapy practitioner continues to work as a dancer, choreographer and teacher combing her two passions through research. The therapist’s practice is informed by her career in dance and her own experience of receiving a wide range of treatment within that time, she feels the two practices feed one another and creates further curiosity about the performing artists’ body.
