The following websites have useful information and resources for those working in music education.

Art of Teaching
The Art of Teaching Project is a collaboration between MusicTeachers.co.uk  and The Musicians’ Union to promote excellent teaching in the field of music education. You can view a number of You Tube videos of experienced vocal and instrumental tutors teaching individuals.  There are also videos of Mark Taylor, director of Rhythmically Speaking, working with a primary school class.

Music Lessons Online
This online music directory includes a selection of articles for music teachers.  See their article with advice on how to tell the difference between a genuine student enquiry and a scam.

Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) 
The ISM is a professional body for musicians in the UK.  Their online advice & resources section provides information about the music profession, with various information for music teachers including:

The Musicians’ Union (MU) is a UK trade union for musicians. Their website has a teaching section with information, advice, and MU resources for members who teach.

From lesson activities to exam support resources and practice tips, here are the tools you need to inspire and motivate your students. Choose from a range of material, from videos and reading packs to lesson and practice activities.

Musical Futures is an approach to teaching and learning.  It is a new way of thinking about music making in schools that brings non-formal teaching and informal learning approaches into the more formal context of school.
