Sunday Morning, Hagit Yakira

Hagit Yakira by David Packard

In July, Hagit Yakira and her company staged two performances of Sunday Morning in Laban Theatre. They took over the foyer with a Sunday morning themed installation, replete with 'breakfast', a DJ and an interactive sculpture.

Sunday Morning triumphantly returns to Laban Theatre on Fri 18 & Sat 19 Nov 2011 19.30h. Please click here for more information and to book tickets for this performance.

Inspired by the different origins of her peers, Hagit Yakira presents Sunday morning as a place of memories of childhood, family and of the fear of loss. Through evoking these memories and feelings, she explores the emergence of individual identity, and our incessant desire to belong.

"Plaudits to Hagit Yakira for Sunday Morning, a serio-comic quartet of dramatic absurdities built upon familial repression, aggression and caring."

- Donald Hutera, Dance Europe, April 2011
