Biography

Lucy Nicholson is a qualified project manager (Prince2 Practitioner and Scrum PSM1) specialising in communications. Prior to joining Trinity Laban in 2013, she held a number of positions at Save the Children within the Communications Department, Press Office and Policy team. She was the project manager for numerous integrated marketing and advertising campaigns including the launch of the first Christmas Jumper Day and for the award-winning TV programme Born to Shine. She also managed Depicting Injustice, a ground-breaking research project which investigated the visual representations of global poverty and the views of those featured in the imagery.

Lucy studied at Arts Educational London and London College of Dance and holds a BA Hons Dance and AISTD and worked professionally as a dancer and dance teacher before moving into project management.

In her current role as Communications and Alumni Relations Manager she manages the institutional relationship with alumni. She is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of the Alumni Relations programme, in support of institutional profile, student recruitment, development and student employability as well as supporting alumni in their creative careers. In 2018 she co-founded the Trinity Laban Innovation Award which supports graduates to develop a business initiative in their early careers through seed funding and mentoring.
