Trinity Laban's roster of teaching staff is made up of highly respected musicians and dance artists, including performers, eminent composers and choreographers, principals from the UK’s major orchestras, chamber and jazz ensembles, renowned soloists and musical theatre practitioners. Many are also active researchers whose work pushes at the boundaries of their art forms, and extends the understanding of artistic and pedagogic practices, thus ensuring that Trinity Laban remains at the forefront of developments in the education of professional dance artists and musicians.
Virtually all undergraduate and postgraduate instrumental students are required to take part in chamber music activity and chamber performances. The experience of being taught by, meeting and watching people who are artistic leaders in their field is motivating and inspiring, providing a standard to aim for.
An equally impressive roster of visiting staff supplements the outstanding profile of Trinity Laban's teaching staff. Regular visitors comprise performers, choreographers, conductors, workshop leaders and mentors, providing students with an extra level of engagement and opportunities for personal development.
